One thing I’ve noticed about Aries types is that they give up prematurely. Aries are great at beginnings – whether it’s a relationship, a new hobby or a job – they give it their all in the beginning. Tons of passion and energy goes into their new endeavor, but once the newness wears off, Aries moves on to something else.
This is the case with most Aries’ I’ve met unless they have planets in their neighboring sign, Taurus, which would give them a bit more staying-power and perseverance. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, representing the infant, so this has a lot to do with it. Aries, just like babies have short attention spans.
I knew one Aries type who was quite ambitious and had tons of ideas for making money. He would start a project then abandon it a month later and move on to the next thing. He was an “ideas” person; full of ideas, but bad at executing any of them. He’s the type of person you want around at the beginning of a startup company launch, then hand the project over to a Taurus or Capricorn to actually get things done and keep things moving.
Aries get bored easily, which as a Gemini Sun Sign, I can understand. They like things that are shiny and new. They like the chase, too. They’ll chase a perspective partner until they capture him or her, then they lose interest. In the past, I’ve always been wary when an Aries showed interest because I knew it might not last. And the moment you show interest back – they get turned off and pull back.
Another thing I’ve noticed in my dealings with Aries types is that TEMPER. The slightest nuisance or inconvenience can set an Aries off and they are notorious for yelling and throwing things. No one can argue like an Aries and I feel like some Aries need a bit of arguing and hostility in their relationships to keep them from getting bored. They’ll instigate arguments with people just for fun sometimes.
I know one Aries type who argues with people everywhere we go. Whether at a restaurant, the grocery store, or a movie theater – arguments will ensue. I used to play poker with this person and we’d usually sit at separate tables across the room. It got to a point where every time I heard raised voices in the poker room, it was coming from her table and was the result of an argument she started with another player or the dealer. It was almost laughable at some point because every time there was a commotion in the casino, my Aries type friend was involved. It was never anything serious, but there were arguments nonetheless.
Of course, not all Aries are like this – especially if they have planets in the gentler neighboring sign of Pisces – but the majority of true Aries types I’ve met are a little too passionate, in my opinion. I can’t even count the number of times I’ve said to my Aries type friend “Why are you yelling???” during one of her outbursts. As a calm Taurus/earth type, I just don’t understand the tendency to turn everything into an argument and I rarely raise my voice.
What is your experience with Aries types?
Note: when I refer to “Aries types” what I mean by that is someone who has prominent Aries in their chart. So someone who has an Aries Sun and Rising, Moon, Mercury, Venus, or Mars in Aries would be considered an Aries type. This can also refer to someone who is not an Aries Sun sign, but has Mercury, Venus, and Mars in Aries, or Aries Rising and Moon, for example.
